The show has been performed in Manchester, Glossop and Brighton. It has received funding from ICB Lancashire and South Cumbria to deliver 3 performances (with Q&A), a men’s health event and follow up workshops, with Rossendale Men’s Shed, VIC and Whitworth Men’s Shed in Rossendale in 2025 and 2026
Tall Tales for All Men is a series of short stories and poems performed by the performance poet Tony Curry, accompanied at one point with his acoustic guitar. In the show Tony shares stories about growing up in Crawley, Sussex in the 1970’s. Tony is the youngest of four brothers, born to an English Father and South African Mother. The stories are full of love, warmth and humour. However, there is also a sadder aspect to the show where Tony will talk about losing both his brother and father, prematurely.
